Joel Shapira is an esteemed fixture on the Twin Cities jazz guitar scene, constantly playing the widest reach of steady gigs. You can hear him today (Saturday) with Charmin Michelle at 12:30 p.m. at Midtown Global Market and tonight solo at 6 p.m. at Ingredients Cafe in White Bear Lake. He has hosted a number of informal “Ask the Artist” monthly events at the Cadenza Music store, where local musicians perform and provide conversation. You’ll be sure to hear music off of Joel’s newest release, “So Many Roads”, on Unseen Rain Records and “Cydonia” on Woodshedd Records.
