Christopher Becknell is a Minneapolis based fingerstyle and classical guitarist. He can be found performing guitar concerts for the MN Guitar Society as well as fiddling with bands such as The Blood Washed Band, Murzik, Duo Arco and a variety of local orchestras. He is not only a performer, however—in addition to serving on the music faculty at MCTC and North Central University, Becknell maintains a large private studio in Minneapolis where he teaches guitar to children and their parents using the Suzuki Method. His first release for House of Mercy Recordings is titled Just Beyond the River: Songs of Shelter & Mercy for Solo Guitar.
